As one of the premiere lecture theaters in the country, the Bo Campbell Auditorium seats 1,008 spectators in a newly renovated spacious facility. Classes are scheduled in the facility throughout the day during the fall and spring semesters. Simultaneously, from 7:00am to 10:00pm over 400 student-athletes utilize the facility for a variety of academic activities including learning skills assessment, academic advising, tutorial assistance, directed studies guidance, peer leadership, mentor support, and study hall assignments in the computer lab and library sections. To ensure the successful provision of academic services to our student athletes, groups utilizing the facility must adhere to the following regulations. Because of this, every effort should be made to restrict access to other areas of the building and to keep noise levels to a minimum. Additionally, these requirements will apply:
1. Food and Drink Policy:
There is absolutely no food or drink allowed anywhere inside the building when renting out the auditorium.
2. Marshalls:
Access must be restricted to the auditorium to minimize interruption of the academic activities ongoing throughout the facility. For any function there must be a minimum of 3 marshalls provided by the sponsor of the event. These marshall should be located at the north entrance of the building (side toward Long Field House) to prevent entrance to the building, at the entrance to the center on the Southside of the building to prevent entrance into the CCACSA offices upfront, and outside the north auditorium door (Long Field House side) to prevent exit from the auditorium, except in cases of emergency only.
3. Publicity:
Contact information of the sponsoring group (phone numbers and email addresses) must be made available to the public and also be a part of all advertisement for the event so that questions regarding parking, event information, etc. can be directed to the correct individuals. That contact information should also be made available to Jonathan Levesque, building coordinator, and Kenneth Miles, executive director of the CCACSA.
4. Media Assistance:
The event sponsor is responsible for their own multi-media assistance and any associated costs.
5. Clean-up:
It is the event sponsors’ responsibility to contact Facility Services at 578-3186 prior to the event to make arrangements for the auditorium to be returned to the condition in which it was found. Because classes begin at 7:30 a.m. most mornings, all tables, decorations, etc. must be removed directly after the event. If it is necessary to bring in assistance to assure this is taken care of, the event sponsor will be charged accordingly.
6. Restroom Information:
Participants must utilize the restroom facilities located directly behind the auditorium. The event sponsor will be responsible for providing information to all participants of their event regarding restroom access in the building.
