Kelsey Lovell joins the ACSA team as Associate Director Academics for Football in September 2023 where she oversees the academic operations and academic affairs team working with football.
 
Lovell previously served as the Director of Football Academics and Associate Director of Academic & Career Counseling at the University of Kansas. During her tenure, the team elevated their academic success to finishing three consecutive semesters above a 3.0 GPA (Spring 2022, Fall 2022, and Spring 2023), a KU Football program record 3.23 Term GPA in Spring 2023, and a 100% Graduation Rate for football student-athletes exhausting their eligibility at the university.
 
Prior to her time at KU, Lovell spent nearly four seasons with the University of Arkansas football program in roles as an Assistant Director of Academics and Academic Counselor, which was her second stop at the institution. The football program saw great improvements in their cumulative GPA and APR as a program. She also worked with women’s gymnastics and women’s tennis during her time with the Razorbacks.
 
Before rejoining Arkansas, Lovell spent time working as an Athletic Academic Advisor (football) at Louisiana Tech University; Academic Coordinator (women’s basketball) /Tutor and Mentor Coordinator at the University of Missouri; and Assistant Academic Counselor (softball and women’s swimming & diving), Assistant Tutor Coordinator; and Tutor at the University of Arkansas.
 
A Hamilton, New Jersey native, Lovell earned a Bachelor of Business Administration—Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Career and Technical Education—Business Education from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University. Lovell is an active member of The National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) and presented at the 42nd Annual Convention.
