LSU Academic Center for Student-Athletes

Initial Eligibility

If you are planning to enroll at LSU as freshmen and want to compete on a varsity athletic team, you must be certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center. Students should register with the NCAA Eligibility Center during their junior year of high school. Your high school guidance counselor can assist you with this process or for more information; you can go to the NCAA Eligibility Center official website. There you will find the NCAA Guide for College-Bound Student-Athletes which provides information on the recruiting process, registration information, Division I academic eligibility standards, and other important information to assist you with the certification process.
