Carole Walker serves as a Senior Associate Director in the Cox Communications Center for Student-Athletes. She is currently the advisor for LSU’s women’s basketball as well as the men’s and women’s cross-country team. Walker also oversees new student-athlete orientation, and scholarship textbook distribution as well as is a member of the ACSA eligibility committee, and serves as the co-coordinator for the Summer Academic Success Program (SASP).

Prior to LSU, Walker served as an Athletic Academic Advisor at South Alabama before becoming an Athletic Academic Services Coordinator at Miami.

Walker graduated from Shaw University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and earned her Master of Education in Higher Education Administration at Auburn University. She is a graduate of LSU’s 2010 LEAD Emerge program which is a leadership development program for new supervisors. She was also a member of the 2005-06 class for the NCAA Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute in addition to being awarded the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A) Professional Promise Award in 2002.
