Dorothy Kemp, Ph.D.
Dr. Dorothy Kemp serves as the Director of Educational Support Services and Learning Specialist at CCACSA. Dr. Kemp holds three degrees from LSU, including an MBA and a Ph.D. in Human Resource and Leadership Development. Her research interests explore the complex factors that shape learning environments, student self-regulation, and the evolving landscape of academic support in higher education.

Engaged in professional and campus communities, Dr. Kemp has held leadership roles in organizations committed to enhancing student learning experiences. She is a past president of the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) and co-founded a special interest group dedicated to amplifying conversations about student-athlete academic support. She remains active in N4A, contributing to committees focused on learning concerns and program enhancement. On campus, she chairs the Student Support Summit and serves on an assortment of committees dedicated to making LSU a more welcoming, fair-minded, and well-rounded place for students, staff, and faculty.

Invested in building strong communities, Dr. Kemp dedicates her time to civic and philanthropic organizations. She serves on the Volunteers in Public Schools board of directors, Executive Management for the Junior League of Baton Rouge, and other civic and social groups.
